God Like Calls and Strange Hand Histories
Marco Johnson, who plays under the screen name “CrazyMarco.” Was the player who initiated the request for a look into the poker cheats. He requested the hand histories after the tournament because a player named POTRIPPER called his all in bluff with 10 high at the final table. Talk about a red flag! No it wasn’t Stu Ungar that came back from the grave to play at Absolute Poker, it was very suspicious indeed. Strangely Absolute Poker sends the hand histories of the first 90+ hands to CrazyMarco. The hand history shows some real unorthodox poker play, POTRIPPER plays each hand perfectly. Couldn’t they have just sent him the pots won at showdown and found it was too high. I wonder if they sent him the hands that everyone could not see. Apparently someone at Absolute Poker could see!
These guys were definitely didn’t realize that they would be leaving a digital trail. All the IP addreses of an observer who watched POTRIPPER throughout the tournament originated from the same household and the email address of the observer was registered to Absolute Poker. (riveraltd.com) A former Absolute Poker employee could only have this email address.
Absolute Poker, says the observer was an employee but “he has not been involved with Absolute Poker for over a year, and to the best of our knowledge, information, and belief, has not had access to any of Absolute Poker’s systems, databases, or information.” The firmly say also that viewing hole cards is not possible!
